The Sueddeutsche Zeitung, Germany's largest broadsheet daily, as well as the Sonntagszeitung from Switzerland covered PollyVote in recent articles.
PollyVote popular in German-speaking countriesBoth articles deal with election forecasting in general, covering two articles from the International Journal of Forecasting special issue on US Presidential Election Forecasting. In particular, the article mentions the "Keys" model by Alan Lichtman and the "time-for-change" model by Alan I. Abramowitz. Both models are part of Polly's model based component forecast. Then, the articles refer to PollyVote as a "magic formula" that combines the forecasts of all different approaches. Finally, the articles also cover the "Faces" study by Armstrong, Green, Jones and Wright (2008) as well as the recent article by Graefe and Armstrong (2008) in which they analyze the relationship between voter's perceptions and candidates' positions on issues and policies.
